Update on CQC Registration Process Changes

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has announced important changes to its registration processes, effective from 18 November 2024. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Provider Portal Closure: From 18 November, CQC will no longer accept registration applications through the provider portal.

  • New Submission Method: Starting 4 November, all new registration applications must be submitted using the updated application forms on the CQC website.

  • Minimising Disruptions: CQC is aiming to support providers during this transition by only rejecting applications with fundamental errors, thereby reducing the need for resubmissions.

  • Ongoing Applications: Providers with applications currently in progress are urged to complete their submissions by 18 November.
