A statement from the Independent Doctors Federation

As a federation run by and for Doctors, we condemn the recent and continuing extremist acts committed against innocent civilians, which have precipitated the devastating war in Gaza and Israel.

We are acutely aware of the profound impact this conflict has on our members, patients and communities both in the region and in the UK.

Our thoughts are with everyone affected, including our members who have family and loved ones in Israel and in Gaza.

As healthcare professionals, The Independent Doctors Federation stands in solidarity with our fellow medical colleagues who are having to deal with the appalling consequences of terrorism and war.  We are making a donation of £10,000 to The Red Cross to support their humanitarian work in the conflict zones.
