IDF Appraiser Update Training Workshops - June 2023

On Wednesday 21st June 2023, the IDF held one of its annual Appraiser Update Training Workshops. These run three times each year and appraisers are required to attend one of them. The workshop was help in person and the IDF Revalidation team also attended. 

The first part of the day was an interactive session by Inoji, looking at coaching skills for appraisers. The was a networking for appraisers at lunchtime and this was followed by an internal training session run by Dr Alexandra Harkins, IDF Responsible Officer. The session included sharing of good practice for Medical Appraisal, supporting doctors through appraisal, discussion of some case scenarios, and practice using the IDF's internal quality assurance tool which was updated in 2022.
