The Queen Square Imaging Centre work in partnership with the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in Queen Square to provide an award-winning, QSI-accredited diagnostic imaging service to private patients seeking specialist MRI and CT Scanning.  

Specialist Imaging for Private Patients in Queen Square

For almost four decades, the Queen Square Imaging Centre has been London's premier independent neuroimaging facility, and was the UK's first direct referral MRI facility.  Our specialist services (including the nearby Chenies Mews Imaging Centre) now offers advanced diagnostic MRI and CT imaging, including

  • Advanced neuroimaging including functional MRI (fMRI)
  • Specialist quantitative cardiac MRI,
  • fetal MRI,
  • MSK imaging, and
  • multi-parametric Prostate MRI. 
  • CT Guided spinal injections, including CT myelography.

Our insurer-recognised MRI and CT services are available with same day appointments and consultant-led reporting for all private patients, including those with cardiac pacemakers and other MR conditional devices/implants. 

MR-Guided Focused Ultrasound 

In July 2022, the Queen Square Imaging Centre also became the UK's first independent facility providing MR Guided Focused Ultrasound Treatment.  Working in collaboration with the functional neurosurgeons of the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, we now offer rapid access to specialist MDT pre-assessment and pioneering treatment for patients with essential tremor.

QS Enterprises Ltd - Providing support to the UCLH Charity

The Queen Square Imaging Centre is a division of QS Enterprises Ltd, a not-for-profit subsidiary of the UCLH Charity. QS Enterprises was the first healthcare social enterprise of its kind in the UK and operates an innovative model whereby all profits from its private patient and research facilities are donated back to the Charity. QS Enterprises has donated more than £30 million since it was founded in 1985, funds which have been granted to the UCLH Trust to enable numerous service development projects.
