We are delighted to invite you to our Lunch Webinar with Corporate Member Moorfields Private Eye Hospital. Miss Lucy Barker will be presenting on Paediatric Red Flags and Eye Emergencies.

 This webinar will cover important signs and symptoms in paediatric ophthalmology with particular emphasis on conditions requiring urgent referral and/or treatment.  Conditions covered include:

• Congenital cataract
• Retinoblastoma
• Papilloedema
• Ophthalmia neonatorum
• Orbital cellulitis

Emphasis will be given to recognition of conditions of concern and referrals pathways, with the aim of ensuring that delegates feel confident in:

• the assessment of children with ocular signs and symptoms
• Recognition of "red flags" within paediatric ophthalmology
• Initiation of treatment where appropriate
• Initiation of referral to ongoing care in the appropriate timeline and place
• Consideration of the "bigger picture" with regard to ocular conditions and how they may be associated with systemic disease.

Emphasis will be placed on conditions/signs which present in a General Practice setting and examination of children with limited equipment to ensure direct transference of information into clinical practice.
