This talk will aim to inform clinicians about what they should be aware of when patients ask them about hair transplant surgery. As the majority of individuals will suffer some hair loss during their lifetime, the talk will also resonate with attendees on a personal level. The lecture will cover which conditions are suitable for a hair transplant and which are not, how the procedure is performed, as well as what to beware of when selecting a hair transplant surgeon or clinic. Realistic results will be presented of hair transplant surgery for genetic pattern hair loss, scarring alopecia from burns and trauma, as well as for transgender hairline creation and hair restoration following traction alopecia.
